1. How many rooms are there?
There are a total of 17 rooms of varying size and capacity. For more

2. How many
smoking rooms are available?
In
accordance with BC's Tobacco Control Act, our entire building is a
non-smoking environment. Smoking is permitted 10 metres (30 feet) from
any entrances and exits. All rooms and hallways are equipped with smoke
detectors.
3. How much does parking cost?
While we do not have our own parking
lot, there is free parking available on Craigdarroch Rd on the same side
of the street as the B&B.
4. What's For Breakfast?

5. Are children allowed?
Children are welcome at Craigmyle. We
have two family rooms available, which can have full-sized roll-aways
added; and the Private Suite has a fold out sofa bed. One high chair and
one playpen are also available.
6. What if I have to cancel my reservation?
There is a five-day cancellation
policy. The total cost of your stay is forfeit if you cancel less than
five days before your expected arrival. When you make a reservation, you will be charged a $5.00 deposit,
per room, per night, which is non-refundable.
7. How do I get to Craigmyle?
From downtown Victoria
- board a
#11 or #14 BC Transit bus; get off at Craigdarroch Rd, across
from the Shell Gas Station
- walk up Fort St, in the same
direction as traffic flows (Fort is a 1-way street); turn right onto
Craigdarroch Rd. We are 1 mile (1.6km) from the City Centre

8. Is there Internet or phone service in the rooms?
There is free wi-fi available; have
your IP address ready when you check in, and we will connect you. There is no
public computer in the house, but the locations of nearby Internet cafes
can be found here.
There is a payphone in the lobby. Local
calls are 25 cents each. There are no phones in the rooms. There is cell
phone reception in most the house and on the grounds.
9. Are there laundry facilities on site?
There are no public laundry facilities
in the house. A list of nearby Laundromats is included
here.
10. Will I have to share a bathroom?
Each room at Craigmyle has a private
toilet and either a shower stall or full tub and shower; most are
ensuite, but there are a few rooms that have private detached bathrooms located adjacent to their
respective bedrooms, in which case the room key also unlocks the
bathroom.
11. How can I pay for my stay?
Payment can be made with Visa, Master
Card, AmEx, Interac or cash. We cannot accept
personal cheques. Payment is due, in full, upon arrival. |
